Shoot Of Nawazuddin Siddiqui And Sunny Leone's Special Number For Motichoor Chaknachoor Comes To An Abrupt Halt, Here's Why
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty’s upcoming movie Motichoor Chaknachoor has gotten into trouble. The shooting of the special number featuring Sunny Leone came to standstill after unit members and technicians decided to protest against the producer Rajesh Bhatia for non-payment of the dues. The move was taken by the technicians along with the members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Thursday. The song was being shot in Goregaon’s Filmistan Studio when the protest took place. The producer was also reported to have several differences with the unit member as per Bollywood Hungama.

Rajesh was allegedly accused by the unit members for sacking them due to differences and resulting into non-payments of their dues. Ashok Dubey general secretary of FWICE in conversation with a media house revealed of receiving a lot of complaints on the same. Federation also issued notices to the producer but he chose to ignore them. Hence, the protest took place, as per reports. Former director of the film, Debamitra Hasan too was one of the unit members who was reportedly asked to leave the project due to a verbal spat pertaining to the edit of the film.

The co-producers, Viacom 18 agreed to meet the FWICE to zero down on a solution, after the shoot came to a halt.

However, on the contrary, producer Rajesh Bhatia had a completely different story to narrate. He said that the crew was on a lunch break contrary to the protest reports in the media. Also, the FWICE members were on the sets to check on the crew’s ID cards. However, when questioned on the non-payment allegation he said that payments are structured to be disbursed after the release of the movie. Adding to it, he also mentioned of the former director Debamitra Hasan to be credited for the film along with the current director.
